This series contains memorandums, notes, reports, copies of articles and presentations related to research and tests on the development of National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) projects such as Galileo, the Halley Intercept Mission, Mariner V, Mariner IX, and Mariner X, Research on the Use of Space Resources (RUSR), Solar Interplanetary Satellite (SIS), Ulysses, and Venus Orbiter Imaging Radar (VOIR). Of special interest is, "A Plan for Learning to Use Space Resources," 1981, located in the RUSR materials, which describes the potential for the use of extraterrestrial materials for space construction. The report focuses on the moon, nearby asteroids, and Mars.
